Oh No We Won't!

In this time of "change", where do you think we fall on this progression?

The concept of the cycle, beginning with bondage, is this: Bondage will lead to Faith that there is something better. In order to move out of Bondage you need Courage which comes from Faith. You have to make a decision to break free, which leads to Freedom. Freedom bestows Abundance (wealth). The danger here is to think that the government has established wealth – it is the individual, not government, which creates wealth. (Wealth is a result of government staying out of the picture and allowing a {rokbox text=|free market|}faqs/1-definitions/5-free-market.html?tmpl=component{/rokbox} to function.) Wealth soon leads to Selfishness – people become self-centered. Clearly then, Complacency is next – I mean, really, is there anything better than self-satisfaction?

This is where the real danger sets in. People stop paying attention – they are not aware of what is going on around them and don’t care to know. The "it won’t happen to me" mentality sets in. Hello Apathy! "I’m not interested in politics", shows an open lack of concern for every aspect of being. All it takes is one hardship (economic crisis?) to get out of hand and soon the public is in Fear. Everyone then depends on someone else (usually the one who got us into the hardship) to fix the problem, as they have been out of the loop ("It won’t happen to me!") and wouldn’t know where to start. This, then, provides complete control to the fixer (agitator/regime) and the nation is led back into Bondage.

If we were to wake up now – recognize what is going on and take action – we wouldn’t need to be led into bondage {rokbox text=|(socialism)|}faqs/1-definitions/1-socialism.html?tmpl=component{/rokbox}. Socialism is a dangerous form of coercion in that it looks like it works and people are attracted to its "solutions". As people become increasingly lazy living in freedom, they end up not wanting to work as they can get by living off the labor of others (due to government intervention = taxation). Socialism takes what someone else has earned and spreads it around to the ones who are too apathetic to work – how soon, though, before everyone stops working/earning (and paying taxes) and is waiting for their hand-out {rokbox text=|(welfare)|}faqs/1-definitions/6-welfare.html?tmpl=component{/rokbox}?

Limited Government = Liberty = Prosperity. A limited government takes work; socialism is the consequence of laziness.
